Drop down list (or somethinf else) with some PNG graphic

Good day All !!!

I'm trying different avenue with my problem and need some guru's advice...


I have a spreadsheet and one of the column needs to have a graphic displayed according to a value (between 1 and 5).
Those graphic are basicaly a an attractive scale for visual impact. We had a graphic specialist designed 5 different display graph in PNG format.

For the moment, I simply copy the graphic into the cell. There is always the problem of alignment which I'm doing by hand. Is there a way to automate the alignment process ??

Then I was thinking, would it be possible to have a drop down list/box containing those graphics?

Why not save yourself a lot of time and effort by using conditional formatting/data bars ??

My manager doesn't like the choice available there. Unless there is a way to create our own conditionnal formatting ???

Hi Skipper,

There is a method for looking up images in a list based on values in a single cell (Excel 2007 version).
In the attached sheet tab "Info" I have placed a drop down in cell A2 where you select a value and it picks the image from the list in the "Data" tab.

You can replace the pictures in the Data tab list according to your requirements and align the cells and images.

I hope this is what you need.
