using conditional formatting to fill certain cells based on a variable

The spreadsheet I've been working on is functionally working how I would like, but I am looking to improve it cosmetically. I have a range of cells in which I input scores. Those scores are averaged in blocks of the value of cell B1. I would like to fill the cells yellow if they are a multiple of the value of B1. I can't figure out how to write it, and could not fiind a similar post already here.

could you upload a small sample file with expected results?

It should like you can just use conditional formatting for color by range. The multiple thing seems a little excessive.

If you just want to color all cells that contain a multiple of the value in B1, try something like this...

1. highlight the range you want to apply the conditional formatting to
2. on the home tab, styles, select CF
3. select new rule, select use formula
4. enter =MOD($A1,$B$1)=0
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
