Populating one worksheet with data from aother worksheet based on criteria

Hi I just signed up here because I had a quick question about Excel. I've been exposed to it somewhat but I don't know much about the advanced functions and such. Googling and searching the forum haven't really yielded results mainly because I'm not sure I'm searching for the right thing. So here's my issue:

I have two sheets in one workbook; one has a list of names in column A (136 of them) and another is a master list with all the names of people who work for the company (over 2000). Sheet 1 and Sheet 2 respectively. I need to populate columns B-E in Sheet 1 with the data in columns B-E in Sheet 2, but only for the names that match in column A. I've tried applying filters but can't get to the data I need for some reason. This seems like a fairly simple task to do so I'm hoping someone here can help me. The names are formatted the same way in both sheets (Last, First). In Sheet 2 the names are links but in Sheet 1 they aren't; not sure if that's important.

The list is a complete list of all employees names, emails, phone numbers, departments, etc. No way for me to post that online.

Wow that works great. I tested it with one of the cells and it called the data perfectly. How can I apply this formula to all the cells I need in several columns?

well assuming you have the name in column A in the lookup worksheet take that formula from my WS and paste it in B2 of your WS....then you can put your mouse in the lower right corner of the cell and it will turn into " + ".....when you get that double-click and will copy it down that column. then do the same for each of your columns.....the problem you are going to run into is my columns may not match the order you set yours up...if that is true and you don't know how to manipulate a VLOOKUP let me know and send me just the column names on your big data sheet....glad I could help....
