    Unhide multiple sheets

Hello. How can I unhide multiple sheets? I have a huge number of sheets hidden and I don't want to unhide them one by one.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    good one....

First you need to name your view with all sheet as unhide as Showall...

go to the View tab and find the Custom Views button. Unhide all the sheets in your workbook and add a custom view called "ShowAll". Then hide the sheets you want and create another custom view called "HideSome". Now you can quickly hide and show those multiple sheets by selecting a custom view. Of course you'll want to name your custom views better than my example.

    Hope this works...!!!

    Re: Unhide multiple sheets

If it's something you want to do over and over (hiding and unhiding) then you can creat two (or more) custom views.
Set up the file with everything hidden and goto view>custom views. Name this view "PresentationView" for example.
Then do the same with everything unhidden and name it "AllSheetsView" for example.

This still involves the manual task of hiding/unhiding one by one but once you've done it once for each view it will save you time in future.
    Say thanks, click *

    Re: Unhide multiple sheets

Hmm, both of these posts are informative, but let's say I have 100 tabs hidden and I want to unhide just 20. There is no way to shift select the 20 rather than clicking on each one? The unhide all is good to know about, but it doesn't help much in situations like these (unfortunately, I have a lot of spreadsheets with many hidden tabs). Thanks.

There is not. You could write (or record) a macro to do it.

As shg has said theres no way to select multiple sheets. You can record a macro as suggested or as i suggest with custom view do that but for 20 sheets, putting in the work for each situation you want that is a pain but it will save time in the long term.
