Hey there.
I am trying to sort a column which is fed by a formula, and every time I try, the formula sets the number back to what it is feeding to it, thus not sorting it.
Is there a way I can sort the column?
Hey there.

So after sorting, are you refreshing the formulas ?
Can you upload a sample workbook ? Thanks.

Pure hypothetically, try locking the formula by using the $ sign.
using the $ sign appears to have worked from what I can tell.
I want however for it to sort across two columns, column A is a number 1-3 and column B is another number. When I hit sort though they sort each column individually. How can i keep the two columns grouped as such, so that the for example, original A1 will stay with the original B1, rather then ending up next to B12.
Sorry, I am not all that learned with excel.
are you getting "expand selection" pop up message while performing sort ?
In general, original a1 will stay with original b1 only. Thanks.
