    Report Cards for students

    Hi everyone,
Excited to join your community. I have a small problem. I am a teacher in school and since i am responsible for printing report cards for the students, is it possible somehow to create a report card scheme through which I can print all the marks of the students.

You can set up a mail merge in Word that either uses a Word table or an Excel table as the data source.

The column headings become the field names. Each row represents 1 record (student).

If using Word click on Mailings, then start Mail Merge, Select the type of document, Select Recipients then choose the data source.

You will then insert the fields that you want into the "boiler-plate" document. Each student will produce one record ready for mailing or email if you are set up for that.

How do you record your grades?

I needed to grade students for a while too and kept grades for each assignment in different worksheets in one workbook. Then in another workbook, I had a different worksheet for each student. This workbook was autopopulated when I graded each assignment. It made it very easy to track grades both by assignment and student. Also made it very easy to find averages, etc. Let me know if you'd like more information.
