Prefill data in Tab A from Tab B

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a way to prefill data in tab A based on tab B. I have attached a sample workbook if it helps. In tab A is a list of names and IDs with an associated cost. The problem is that for each name there are multiple IDs - when the cost reaches a set limit that name is given a new ID. For example in the spread sheet you can see that "B" has ID 2222 to start off with until it reaches the limit of 300 and then it gets assigned the ID of 9874 which when it reaches the limit then turns to 8647.

In tab B is a list of all Name and IDs that have been used along with the limits and running totals.

The idea is that if you need to enter a new cost into the workbook you go to tab B and look up the name; if the running total is less than the limit then you add that name to tab A at the bottom and the ID prefills. However If the running total is more than the limit then you add a new ID (and limit) and when you enter the name in tab A the new ID prefills. However all historical data will still need to be associated with the old ID.

For example in tab B once "B" + "8647" has reached the 300 limit, you add "B" + "9999" to the bottom then typing B in tab A should hopefully bring up "9999" automatically in the ID column.

Is there a way to do this?
