Hi Everyone,
I am working on a sheet that uses true bearing for a position comarison. I am having problems when I go from 359 to 1 degree and from 1 degree to 360. In my sheet I need the bearing change to stay conisistant with the moving target. Later in my sheet I use the true bearing difference to calculate a linear plot of where the target is expected to be. When there is a big change present like 300+ degrees (in either direction in a short interval of time) Excel calculates and averages the change in the span of time that has elapsed. (Giving me ficticous numbers and giving me a high percentage of error)
For example: When column A goes from 006 to 359 its really a difference of -7. Excel sees this as a gain of 353. (which is not what I want)And when it goes from 355 to 002 its only again a change of +7. Excel sees this as a drop of 353. (again incorrect). What I would like is an easy way to monitor the change at these points to keep the numbers conisistant so I can plot/calculate them linearly.
