Send cell through another workbook and return answer

Hello,

Please help steer me in the correct direction.

I have one workbook with a full column of numbers.
Is there a way I can send each cell to another workbook, have it run through the various formula and equations in that workbook and them return the answer back to the adjacent cell in workbook 1.

then move onto the next row and do the same?

basically take workbook1 cell A1 > send it to workbook2 cell A1 (where it will then run through that spreadsheet to say Cell B100) then send Cell B100 back to workbook1 cell B2??
It then needs to do the exact same for cell A2 and so on.

I don't want to retain any of the numbers in Workbook 2 just use it to do the calculation.

This is possibel the way you have it layed out. open both workbooks and write the formulas as you normally would.

im sorry but i dont understand how.
i can see how i would do this for the first row.
in workbook 2 cell a1 call up workbook 1 cell a1 then in workbook 1 cell a2 call up the answer from workbook 2.
but how could i replicate this for the second row and so on??? without making a seperate workbook 2 for each row??

sorry for my ignorance but excel is not my strongpoint.

Each row in the 2nd workbook would need the formula to get the results you need in workbook1.

for example
A1 would be a value lets say 100. In the 2nd workbook A1 would = A1 in the first workbook. Your formula would do its thing and the end would be in B100.
A2 in Workbook 1 would = B100 in workbook 2.

it sure does. and many thanks for your help but i cant condense the workbook into a single formula or a formula capable of going into a row which can be replicated into each row since my workbook is made up of hundreds of formula all iterativley doing their own thing. its too complicated.

i just need to be able to feed this complicated workbook with a list of inputs then output the list of outputs.

i think on further research i might be looking for "data tables". what do you think?

As far as I know Data tables won't work over multile workbooks.

can you upload a small sample file? With out seeing the other sheet and how it flows I personanlly find it hard to vissulalize. It would be easier to see what the final outcome needs to be and how the formulas work together.

I have actually worked it out. but thanks for your help.

Basically I do require to use "data tables" but in order to use them across workbooks you need to set up a proxy cell. as the data table function must be contained in the one sheet.
