Need help to avoid pasting the incorrect name

Hi all,

I need a help to avoid pasting the incorrect names by comparing two column.
I have attached the example file for reference.

No it was not solved. I'm breaking my head to sort out this problem. If anybody give me a solution it will be great!!!

Select column C, go to Data -> Data Validation -> Settings Tab -> Select Custom in the Allow dropdown and enter

Formula:

<>B2

in the formula box. Then Click on Error Alert -> Enter a title and error message. Click on Ok.

Then test it by entering info in column C which matches column B.

Hi Arlu1201,

It was working great!! But the problem is when i copy and paste in the "C" column it is not showing the error message. Could you please help me on this?
