    Merging text from cells

I need to create a large variety of descriptions that have variables. I'm looking for a quick and dirty way to use cells for the variables then merge all of the information together. Example: cell A1 would have ".5", cell B1 would have "x 96" and C1 would have "x 120". I want to merge them together in cell D1 so that the final result would be ".5 x 96 x 120". Does this require a macro or is this built into Excel somewhere and I'm just too much of an Excel novice?

    Thanks,
    Jim

hi Jim. it looks like you just need:
    =A1&" "&B1&" "&C1

or is there more to meet the eye?

    I wouldn't bother with a macro.
