Assistance in properly pasting plain text into excel

I have numeric codes in notepad (plain text) that I need to properly paste into excel.

Here is an example of the way the codes look and what I need them to look like in excel:

Notepad:

Codes.jpg

This is how I need the excel spreadsheet to look like (two columns - Column A with codes underlined in RED, Column B with codes underlined in YELLOW)

Codes 2.jpg

Codes 3.jpg

There are different things that need to be done and since it isn't just one thing, I'm not able to figure it out. I need to split most of the codes (as seen in the second attachment) into two cells/columns. I also need to make sure that all the numbers in the codes are seen in the cells and are not turned into some formula or become hidden.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated =)

Hi

Please dont paste pictures of your workbook when you can just as easily post a sample pf the workbook - no-one wants to retype your data
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

I don't want to retype the data. Please post the/a real file. The longer, the better, and exactly the way it will appear in your text file.

Re: Assistance in properly pasting plain text into excel

Hi - Thank you so much for looking into my question. I received assistance and was able to solve my questions.

I wasn't sure how to explain or show the questions I had other than in a picture. I apoligize for posting a picture as I'm new to all of this and next time, if I have any questions, will not post a picture. If so, will also post the actual excel and/or Notepad document.

Thanks again =)
