Separately printing multiple tables from a single sheet

hello! many times i am confrunted with excel files containing one sheet that has many tables on it. i need to print each table so that it fits on one page, but these tables are not formatted so that they fit, therefore i need a fast way to make each table fit on 1 printed page, no matter how big it is or how it is centered on the page size from page layout(many times the table is bigger than the page layout size). i tried selecting each table holding down ctrl and then hitting set print area, but most of the times this doesnt work, i still get part of the first table and the begining of the second table on the second printed page and so on, which is not good.

    thanks in advance!

    My Solution....

Format your tables on the page as tables.... i.e. select the table - insert - table...

Then when you want to print the tables - seperately select one table at a time and hit print - then in the print dialogue box an option will appear allowing you to print only your table... i.e print whole workbook;print sheet;print table....

    Make sense?

hmm i will try this, dont know if it works for me just now. anyway i need to hit print just once, even though there are 20 tables in the sheet.

nope, unfortunately its not good for me as once i select the area i want and go to insert table that area becomes formatted with colors and column names and all..i need it to remain the same and excel should know that every area that i select separately is to fit on one printed page, no matter how large each of these areas are.

Not sure i understand your problem? You want 1. all tables to appear on the one page or 2. all tables to appear on seperate pages?

    1. Simply change your printing preferences to "fit to one page"

    2. You could also try adding a page break between each table... you will need to ensure that each table fits "width"wise as you can't scale your page printing whilst also using page breaks, however i tried this and it worked. feel free to upload a test worksheet and i can try and help...

Re: Separately printing multiple tables from a single sheet

not a native english speaker, perhaps thats the problem. ill try again . so i have 1 sheet containing multiple tables, as oposed to one table from top to bottom. first table is smaller, second is bigger, the next wider than the page size as set in page layout, the next is taller and so on. i need to print each of those tables on an a4 page(for example) and each of them to "fit to page size". problem is i dont want to repetedly select each of them and then hit print so many times. im searching for a method to let excel know i need to fit each of them to the page size and then print only once for all of them. thats because i sometimes get dozens of such tables on one sheet and takes too much time to print 50 pages so it doesnt pay. i tried the page breaks, doesnt work. i will try to produce a test worksheet and thank you for your time. or maybe i was more coherent this time.
