Cool Using Autofilers with "Subtotals" on Worksheet

    Good morning, Excel Users!
I have a worksheet that I'm using the "subtotals" on and it has formulae in it so I don't want to remove the "Subtotals" display. BUT, I want to use a filter on some of the columns since it's a big worksheet. Does anyone know if this works with Excel 2007? So far, I haven't been able to do it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    G'day,

With not fully understanding your layout, but if you have a long list of numbers for example column D and you have a Subtotal formula in E1. Then if you filter column D the subtotal (depending your subtotal function) it will work accordingly.

Yes you can use Autofilter with the subtotal (Yours is Data>>Subtotal I believe) applied data.

Thanks for the answer. Yes, you just click "Autofilter" with the subtotals applied to the data. I kept trying to click on the header row. Excel by default selects the entire header row. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use the autofilter effectively with the way the subtotals works on my sheet. Again, your reply is much appreciated and I feel like I'm brain dead sometimes.
