change currency symbol

my assigment require me to Answer this Question:
Ensure that all currency values are formatted as Botswana currency e.g the correct format is P5,000.00 not BWP5,000.00

how do are format the currency to "P" which is for Botswana while execel 2010 does not have a default currency symbol for Botswana but only BWP but i need it to be a "P" please help?

There may be some way to download the ability from online, but could you just concatenate a "P" with the number? For example, if the value is 5,000.00, you could type ="P"&5000.00

thanks it works the problem it change the format into a whole number like P2500 but it has to have two decimal places e.g P2,500.00

i managed to solve this by going to custom in the format cell table and created my own formula like P##,##0.00
