extremely large file .xls

Hi, recently I have encountered a problem.

My colleague gets formatted file from supplier. Then starts filling it with numbers and information (no pictures at all).

However, the file gets so large that it becomes almost impossible to work. And it happens every day.

I tried to just copy the information from 1 file into 2 file which I created on my computer. And saved it with the same extension. Now it 10 times smaller. What's happening?

We both have Excel 2010.

P.S. I attached both files for reference... I even had to zip the 1st file in order to attach it

I expect it's the formatting. Might be best for your colleague to start their process with 'copy values into blank file'.

Well, if you see the files, there is nothing complicated in it yet. No formulas, no attachments, nothing.... And I just copied everything without just 'pasting the values'.... and it's already 10 times smaller? Something is weird happening, but I can't find it out... And seems it happens everyday, I don't want to copy all the time values, I need formulas as well... So I want to find the cause and the solution
