Protect text box from formatting but not input???

Is it possible to protect an inserted text box from being moved, stretched, etc. while allowing data input into the cell/s?
If so, any help is greatly appreciated. I'm using a 2003 version of excel.
I've attached the sheet in question.
The yellow text boxes are what I want to lock, yet still allow data input.

Right click on the text box and choose Format Shape (this is what to do in 2010 version so may need adapting for 2003).
In properties uncheck Lock Text.

Make sure you then protect the worksheet so that this rule takes effect.

Thanks for the advice, but it isn't available in the 2003 version. I've attached a print screenshot of what my options are when I right click on the text box.
Any other suggestions? I've also looked at my tool bar options and couldn't find 'format shape' also attached is the only format options I can find.
