    Display Variable Name not number

Hopefully this is possible and easy. I am creating a very simple budget report for a tournament I am hosting. I want to specify whether payment was from Check or Paypal and want each one to resemble a value. This is because PayPal takes a service fee and when we get a 50$ payment it is actually 48.25$. So basically I have 4 columns for the revenue side of the budget report. The school that is registering, Payment type, Number of participants being sent, and total payment received from the school. My hope is I can have Payment Type*# of participants to equal total payment, but not have a number being displayed for payment type. I would prefer to have payment type say PayPal or Check or at least P and C instead of 48.25 and 50 respectfully. I found a way to insert a name for a value, but when i type =PayPal the value of 48.25 comes up and i cant find a way to format the cells to display PayPal and have it just represent 48.25. Sorry if this is confusing I can re-explain if necessary.

Thanks for any and all help

    Jake

When you define a name like that it displays what it is referencing. If you want the code to reference correctly then take that name definition off and just do it in the sum line. (assuming payment type is in column C)

Sorry I am confused where to put that code. You said to put it in the sum line? And column it is column D. I also deleted all formatting and all other changes back to default so im working with a clean slate.

    So for example in:
Box B2 i have the name St. Charles north for the High school
Box C2 i have 4 for number of boats
Box D2 i have nothing but want PayPal to be displayed and represent 48.25
    Box E2 i have C2*D2
