    Locking Rows & Columns

Is it possible to lock rows and columns in excel (2007) to avoid deletion, but still edit the cell content?

I have formulas on a seperate worksheet that will error if a row/column or cell is deleted. However, i need people to still be able to edit the contents of cells within the row/column.

Select the cells that you want people to be able to input into, "Format Cells">Protection> and uncheck "Lock"
    Will that work for you?
