Post Multiple drop boxes selected automatically pending the selection of one

    Please can someone help here??
Seriously need some help here been on Google all day and just cannot find what I'm looking for. Starting to wonder if this is even possible.

So I have a quote format with various different products:
B1 to B10 Contains a vlookup with stock codes from another page. C1 TO C20 Contains drop boxes with various different stock items. Some of the stock items are available in singular form and others are in kits. I.e C1 could contain whats in C2. I want to be able to select C1 and have the sheet automatically pull up c2. But I dont want to loose any data that is in c2, in other words I still want to be able to manually select C2.

Hope this makes sense and I really hope one of you clever dudes out there can help me here

    All things are possible!

I do not understand the situation. If a line is a kit, then the next line will contain the elements of the kit. How many lines could there be? The sales price of the kit will be pulled up, but then the sales price of the single item will also be pulled up?

Might be an idea if you let me see an example of what you would like to see.

    Regards

    Alastair

    Hi Alastair,

Thank you so much for your reply.

Wish I could send you an example of what I want to see. Problem is I've never seen it..

There could be up to six items that a kit contains and yes the price of the single item will be pulled up but I have them listed independently as a zero cost. All I want is for them to be reflected without having to select each item. This spreadsheet is used by my sales team and they all say its to complicated, hence why I'm trying to simplify for them.

Re: Multiple drop boxes selected automatically pending the selection of one

The only way that I can envisage this working is if somewhere there is a Bill of Materials; that is, for each kit, each component part of that kit is listed.

If a member of the sales team selects an item that is a kit, a macro will then select the items and list them (following the entry for the kit) at nil sales price.

The member of the sales team could then continue with further kits or components.

I am a little confused by your sample (a) there appears to be 9 components of the kit ( say "up to six items") and (b) some of the components are shown as a quantity of "0".

I feel I am struggling here, so if anyone else wants to jump in here - feel free to do so !

    Regards

    Alastair
