Question Conditional Formatting: Duplicate values and alternating colors

Hi, I need help figuring out the formula to color rows based on duplicate values. If it's possible for a more advanced one, check the additional. I've provided an example to help illustrate what I need.

    1. Basic formula I'm trying to figure out:
    \1

    2. If this formula isn't hard, this would be optimal:
    \1

    Thanks in advance!

    =(COUNTIF(A$2:A12,$A2)>1)
Use Format Painter to copy to other cells

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
