I am trying to keep track of sales and need to count how many sales were done this month and last month. The dates of the sales are in column E starting on E2 and going down. The start and end dates of THIS month are in M1(start) and N1(end) and the start and end of LAST month are in Q1(start date of last month) and R1(ending date of last month). I would like H1 to have the number of sales for this month and last month listed in it. I have it configured to say, "Sales this month: xxx Sales for last month: yyy". I have it all working using text and data using the sumproduct function but it is counting the blanks from column E as sale dates too.

How can I have the sheet count the number of dates in Column E that are between 2 particular dates and exclude the blank items. (If it matters, some of the dates in column E go back past last month (and I am not worried about them) and the spreadsheet I have has a list of clients with their info in Columns A-D, some of which do not have a sales date in Column E and are just blank until they are sold).
