Setting filter when there are separate columns?

1. Can be set SHIFT F8 and column of filter is broken with two separate columns?
2. Can be removed some filter set by SHIFT F8 when there is not needed but it will be sorted with all filters?
3. How is possible that filter shows From A till Z or Z to A but some filter show Increment or opposite filter. I understand there is different date type or text but when I define column with data type it should set Increment or opposite and not From A till Z or Z to A. It does not filter in the correct way as date like 2013-02-04 is after 2013-03-07...
