Creation of audible Alert in xl

Hi
I am a new entrant to this forum. I would like to know as to how to create an audible alert in XL. To be more specific, I would like the system to alert me on various due dates for the data entered. The key filed is the DATE. The due dates for re-validation could be between 07 days to 3 years. I will be grateful if i com posted with the procedure to be followed. I am a finance man and a novice at XL.

It is possible to link both simple (beep) and complex (music etc.) to events in workbooks coupled with logic. You will need to supply more detail such as an example workbook to receive more help.
