Hi,
I copied and pasted a some data from the internet and now I have a bunch of "checkboxes" all over my spreadsheet. I tried deleting the cells that the checkboxes are in, but they still do not go away. Any suggestions?

hi johnmsilva, welcome to the forum. are the checkboxes the only objects? if so, try:
1. clicking on any 1 of them
2. press CTRL + A. that will select all of them
3. press DEL
a similar alternative is:
1. press CTRL + G. or just F5
2. click Special
3. Objects
4. OK
5. DEL
if checkboxes are not the only objects, & you want to keep the rest; then you might have to do it manually. you can do it group by group deletion though. go to Home -> Find & Select -> Select Objects. that allows you to left-click your mouse to a range you want, then delete it.
Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it still didn't work. I guess these checkboxes are not objects...but they aren't text either? It's like they are embedded in the spreadsheet.
This is the issue I'm having (I deleted the data for confidentiality purposes). The checkboxes I'm trying to get rid of are between columns G and H.
ok, these are Activex Controls. first, you got to enable the Developer tab.
1. Click the File tab.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Customize Ribbon.
4. Under Customize the Ribbon and under Main Tabs, select the Developer check box.
with that, go to the Developer tab -> Design Mode. when it is selected, icon should turn orange. you can now use the CTRL + G method
That worked. Thanks so much!
