[COLUMN]Match Month and Year of date Only, [ROW] row that has Text "Total" on Column A

Kindly refer to attachment.

I want the total for each month in the different worksheets in the summary tab. The problem is that the date of corresponding months in each of the columns of each worksheet is not the same (i.e. Tab 1 has Jan 2, Tab 2 has Jan 9, Tab 3 has Jan 12 all of the same year; so these three dates fall under Jan 2007 - column B in Summary worksheet.

I've tried this formula but obviously it's not working, so I need some help.

Thanks a ton. I wasn't too far from the solution then. Yeah I thought of the INDIRECT portion but I wanted to get a working formula first. Thanks for plugging in the INDIRECT portion at the same time as well.
