conditional formatting 2 columns different data

    Hello,

I want to apply conditional formatting to 2 columns that contain different data.

in one Column I have scores 1-100, in that column I want to be able to apply color to all the scores over 90 and color to everything under 90. The column next to it has the date that these individuals are due to test again based on their scores and I want that column to correspond to their score. For example anyone who scored under a 90 has to test within 6 months and anyone over 90 has to test in one year. please help, thank you.

    Hi
Have a look at the sample attached and let me know if this will suffice.
    Good luck.

tony, thank you for the prompt respond.

I've attached a sample of what my sheet looks like now.

basically what I want for example in the first row. I want

if my data in column B is below 90, I want the adjacent cell in column A to highlight yellow

    my other rule would be

if my data in column B is above 90, I want the adjacent cell in column A to highlight blue.

hopefully you get the attachment, thank you.

    Hi
I have the attachment but I don't understand why you have an embedded spreadsheet in a spreadsheet! When I open the embedded spreadsheet your instructions regarding Column B and A do not match up to the data.
    Hope this makes sense.

Tony I don't know why it loaded like that but for example,

the person who has a fitness test on 30-APR-13 received a score of 98.10 on his last test, therefore that person only test every 1 year.

on the other hand the person who has a test on 31-mar-13 received a score below 90, so that person has to test every six month.

All I want is to able to create a formula that says "if a person scores above a 90 on his/her test, then his/her next fit test date cell will be colored blue" and "if a person scores below a 90 on his/her test then his/her next fit test date cell will be colored green"

I am trying to take the emphasize away from the score and more on whether or not the person is a 6 or 12 month tester.

if you can try to give it another shot that would be awesome or let me know if this does not make sense to you.
