I have a challenging problem: to count the number of valid cells (i.e. non-error) below a specific cell whose name is known, but the address of this cell is not known. I attached the example here. So the task is to 1) find the address of the cell with name 'Language', 2) count the number of non-error cells below the cell 'Language' and up to the 1000th row.
To make it more interesting, please put this answer in a separate file (linked to the example file).

I use cell H2 in combination with indirect to get the result.
Notice my main language is not English.

Hi oeldere, thanks for the simple answer. This is based on what you see: column C for the target cell. But what if you don't know see column C? Suppose you are not allowed to open the Example file, and have to first obtain the address for cell 'Language'. Please give the answer in a separate file to make this problem more interesting and adaptable.Originally Posted by oeldere

CTRL + H seek => Language.
Seek next (it will find cel C4).
After that you can use this cell in the offered solution.

Any one can give a bright idea to do this via formula?

If you find the value you can fill H2 with that value +1.
After that you can use the formula you been given.
Why should it be an formula, if another option also works (as well)??
oeldere, unfortunately that is the real problem in work. It has to be formula-based and automatic.
I'm still waiting for a response answer to this question
