Excel paste special stops the sheet from working

Hi

i have a strange problem if i copy anything and try to paste it using paste or paste special it will paste but then the sheet stops working not allowing me to cllick anything on iy until i press ctrl z the paste action dissapears and then i can use the sheet again however if i copy ang do ctrl v it pastes no problem and the sheet is fine
