seeing as you can move windows around on 1 screen, the answer is yes, you can have 2 different workbooks open on 2 different screens...you just have to size them and movethem to where you want them to be
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Yes, it's called mirrored (clone) mode and should be the default display option in a dual display environment. The other option is called extended display, where the screens complete each other. Search Google using the keywords and your version of windows and you should get simple instructions on how to accomplish this.

If I move one workbook to another screen, all the other workbooks appear also on the same screen.
maroni,
With Excel open, go to your Windows Start menu, find Excel, and click on it, thereby opening a second instance of it, which you can move to your 2nd screen. (I often do it, and it's great)

Thanks BB, you beat me to it, i was just about to say the same thing![]()
BB,
this works, but I cannot link these two workbooks.![]()
Are the screens connected to the same computer or to different ones? Your post indicated two different computers...

Yes, you are right. You can't. What you have to do is stretch you one instance of Excel across both screens then View >> View Side by Side. It may take a little tweaking since the resolution on both monitors might not be the same. This way you will see the ribbon stretched across both screens but different workbooks on each display.

Expand the window to fill both monitors. Then you can open both workbooks and do side-by-side display.
Same computer...
maroni, if you follow abousetta or handerson's instructions above (posts 9 & 10) you should be able to achieve your goal.
Hi maroni
Have a look at the link below. I think Excel 2013 has ability to open 2 windows, might be wrong though.
