Question How to keep column A from scrolling vertically

    Hi,
I have data in column A, rows 1 thru 25. Then I have data in columns C thru M, all rows. I need to be able to keep the column A stationary while scrolling vertically in columns C thru M.

I included a copy of one of my sheets. I need only the green highlighted cells to always be visible when scrolling down. Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Matt

hi Matt, welcome to the forum. Select the whole of Column B -> go to View -> Freeze Panes -> Freeze Panes

you cant have the green highlighted cells still visible when scrolling down, because it occupies almost the full screen. you can go to cell B19 & do the same pane freezing & you'll see what i mean. if you hide your Ribbon, you'll probably see a little bit of the bottom rows

Thanks for the welcome and quick reply.

I tried that but it just keeps the column visible when scrolling right. The sheet is a part of a inventory of 200+ part numbers. So imagine one of the other part numbers having 200 or so rows with data. I want to be able to scroll all the way to the bottom of the sheet in columns C thru M and always be able to see the highlighted data in column A. I did the freeze in B19 but it keeps all the data visible above row 19 all the way across. I want columns C thru M to scroll down normally.

i might be wrong, but i don't think it's possible. a workaround is to go to View-> New Window. you now have a duplicate of the same workbook. Minimize the window & fix the one on the left to show the highlighted part, the right one to scroll freely. eg.png
