    Date of Entry

    Hi Guys

I have a very simple question here. In Column B I would like to input a description and in column C I would like the date/time I input an entry in column B to appear automatically (for the same row).

    Is this possible?

    Thank you in advance!

    Re: Date of Entry

    Yes it is.

    1)Using formula(creating a circular reference)

    2)Using VBA code.

    What is your option?

    Re: Date of Entry

you can use this formula =IF(B1="","",NOW()) in cell c1. and then format cell to custom dd/mm/yyy hh:mm am/pm

    @ imran91.

Pls note that using your suggested formula, the date will change to tomorrow date, when Tomorrow will come.

    Re: Date of Entry

I mean that you have to wait unti tomorrow! Tomorrow in c1 the date will be 18/12/2012. Not 17/12/12 as it is today()-now().

    Re: Date of Entry

Yup Fotis is right, i wanted a time stamp instead of a changing date.
