VLOOKUP Different sets of Columns HELP

    Hello,

On the attached Spreadsheet i am trying to use VLOOKUP to lookup the Item using an item#.

I would like it to look up the different items on Sheet2 using the item number entered in Sheet1 A2 - A11.

EG. If i type in FZ1 or FG1 in A2 - A11 in Sheet1, i need the 'Description' and 'Price' for that item on Sheet2 to be displayed under 'Description' and 'Price' on Sheet1.

I hope i have explained it ok.

    Any help appreciated.

PS: i have just started using excel.

    Thanks Dilipandey,

But i need to look up the Item#...

EG: Look up Item#: FC1-FC12 or FZ1-FZ12 or FG1-FG12 or WA1-Wa12 on Sheet2. Then put the correct description and price in Sheet1.

    change the "+1" to "+2" for H2:

it's actually better you dont merge cells in Excel. easier to do up formulas

    Hi micky,

    You mentioned
EG. If i type in FZ1 or FG1 in A2 - A11 in Sheet1, i need the 'Description' and 'Price' for that item on Sheet2 to be displayed under 'Description' and 'Price' on Sheet1.
and that is what I provided (and you already applied that formula)..
OR may be you need help in getting respective "table_array" syntax part of vlookup formula i.e, if you enter FZ1, it should be Sheet2!D3:F14 ?

If yes.. that does not mean you need following
But i need to look up the Item#...
as still you need description and price only as correctly outlined in your first statement
