    help for sorting winner

    i have example from attachments. i want to put the race bib number in D2 for the 1rst winner and the name will follow as 1rst in D2:B2, 2nd in D3:B3, 3rd in D4:B4 and so on. and i have 100 runners.

    Hi mmanuel99,

    Welcome to the forum.
    If I enter a bib number.. let say 500 in D2, what should be the result? can you share the scenario?

    Since you want the entry in column D.. then how come 1st winner will appear in D2:B2.. either it should be C2:A2 or something else which I am not getting

    do you mean something like this? see attached
    or alternatively just sort by col c ascending and put

    sorry for wrong explanaton...
    the first person to finish line is bib number 408.
    now i want to input that bib number in D2 and she will be the rank number 1
    name will shown in D2.
    the second person to finish line is bib number 502.
    now i want to input that bib number in D3 and he will be the rank number 2
    name will shown in D3.
    the third person to finish line is bib number 455.
    now i want to input that bib number in D4 and she will be the rank number 3
    name will shown in D4.
    and the rest will follow as rank numer 4,5,6,7 and so on until the race is finish

    well according to your sheet

    is the fastest time
    look at the attachment again i've reattached it and made a few changes
