converting at time to a number

I have a time as 0:20 in one cell. I want to covert that to the number 20 in another cell. Is this possible to to and can I get an example of how?

Is the time that you have hours and minutes or minutes and seconds?

If it's minutes in, say, cell A2, then: =A2*24*60 formatted as General. If it's seconds: =A2*24*60*60
