Hyperlinking to pdf object

What's the latest regarding creating a hyperlink in an excel spreadsheet to an embedded PDF object? I wish for a user to be able simply to click on a hyperlink which then would pull up a PDF document. Any help with this is appreciated. This is my first such post as a new member of the forum. From the Ribbon menu:
Insert
Hyperlink
(select name of file from pop-up)
Finish Wizard

Thank you for your reply. I didn't want to link to a file, as I want the PDF embedded into the excel document via the insert object pdf tool. That way when I send someone the file, the pdf document is automatically included in the file. I don't like the way the object feature in excel displays - for instance, it is not secured. The end user can move it around, resize, etc. What I really want is like an action button that would open the pdf document.

Sorry, guess I'm still not following. If the pdf is embedded, then it's already open if the workbook is open, and it sounds like you already know how to embed. If you want to put the pdf's on separate sheet, you can link to the other sheet like this:

=HYPERLINK("#Sheet1!A1", "Link")

... assuming your pdf is embedded in Sheet1
