Search for a specific form control button

I have a rather large sheet with lots of embedded form control buttons, each one with a document link. Is there a function (no VBA) to search for a specific
form control button in excel? for example: i want to find the form control button which is linked to the "application" document.

thanks in advance and best regards

I believe it's possible using VBA but no idea. Please check with Excel Programming / VBA / Macros Forum

Please don't post your question in more than one forum as SixthSense seems to suggest, it's against the rules

yes, using VBA, you can loop through all the forms controls in your worksheet to find the one you want.

    @ Kyle123,

I believe that OP can create a thread in the relevant forum of this site by providing the link to this thread for getting the attention of the experts which will help the OP for getting the issue resolved.

I don't think so I have instructed the OP against the forum rules because saying
Please check with Excel Programming / VBA / Macros Forum
doesn't mean that OP should leave this thread.

Please correct me if I am wrong

No, they should only have a single thread per question, otherwise it's against rule 5.

    5. Don't duplicate posts. We have seven question forums: Miscellaneous, General, Programming, Worksheet Functions, Charting, Excel 2007 Help and New Users. Please choose the appropriate forum, and post your question in ONLY one.

If the op really wanted to they could request that this thread be moved to the relevant forum, but tbh it's probably not worth it since most members look through all the forums anyway

doesn't mean that OP should leave this thread.
Of course not, which is why I qualified my statement by saying "seems to suggest"
