When deleting cells only apply to current page?

    Hi guys,

It maybe impossible but I need

However i have a really nice template spread over 1 worksheet, formatted and its looking pretty!

In page layout i can see my individual pages with my tables ect...

Is there a way to unlink the cells on those specific pages... so that if anything happens [a table is deleted (cells deleted up)] the cells/rows on my other sheets are unchanged (do not shift up as well)

    Template Fund Review.xlsx

    Thoughts please?

    Hi,

You only have one sheet so I assume you are asking whether if you delete some cells on the left page (say), the cells on the right page will remain, or vice versa. The answer depends on how you remove the cells. You can't just delete rows since this will affect cells on both pages. You would have to clear the contents of a range.

The cells are only 'linked' as you describe it by virtue of the fact that they are in the same row (or column).

You should really separate the two pages so that they are on separate sheet tabs.

Whilst looking at your layout I'm struck by the fact that you have used so many columns and merged cells. My advice would be to seriously consider the wisdom of doing this. You are just complicating the system and if the sheet is developed and analysed in other ways then you are storing up trouble and will find it more complicated to handle analysis. Try and keep cells which hold data to a single cell. Merged cells can be a real nuisance and there seems no logical reason why you couldn't have used single columns.

Please accept this as constructive criticism from one whose been there and acquired many T shirts.
