I’m having a problem to quickly select a line. Is there a way to let excel understands what is to be selected. Kind of filter or a key which would simplify selection, rather than precisely positioning mouse over the line.

You can select them by first selecting the chart, then the Format tab on top of your screen, then find the series in the listbox to the far left.
Of course, a macro utility is always an option as well.

I don't wish to leave you with no answer, yet I sometimes miss posts. If you feel I forgot you, remind me with a PM or just bump the thread.
Do the arrow keys still work in the newer versions? In my older version, with the chart selected, the up and down arrow keys scroll through the different elements of the chart, including each data series.
