I have 8 cells containing numbers. There are 255 permutations of these numbers. I want to multiply all the numbers in each permutation and then add the 255 results together. I have the formula

Hello. I am doing a weekly "Goliath" bet and would like to record the results. A Goliath bet is a full cover of all the 255 permutations of 8 events. These 8 events can be arranged into

8 singles (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H)
28 doubles (A*B, A*C, A*D, etc)
56 trebles (A*B*C, A*B*D, A*B*E, etc)
70 four-folds (A*B*C*D, A*B*C*E, etc)
56 five-folds (A*B*C*D*E, etc)
28 six-folds (A*B*C*D*E*F,etc)
8 seven-folds (A*B*C*D*E*F*G, etc)
And one Accumulator (A*B*C*D*E*F*G*H)

Basically for each permutation I wish to multiply the cells selected and then find the sum of all 255 permutations. If any of the events loses I can place a zero in that cell of leave it blank and the formula will work out the remaining winning selections.

The formula above I have had to type by hand which was obviously very time consuming and lent itself to human error. Is there an easier way to do this calculation? Thank you

You mean like the order of results for a single-elimination tournament with eight teams?

If not that, can you give an example?

see attachment if it helps,try to remove some of the number in yellow(result) and you'll see the differnce on your winning lines reduced.
BTW i changed from letters to numbers(A to 01,........H to 08).
I hope that is what you want.
