    Excel Invoicing

    Hi

Has anyone come across a good free excel invoicing spreadsheet?

A family member has decided to go self employed and I am thinking of using an excel sheet which includes a template for invoicing (which will be sent to the customer) but then perhaps a macro button which then sends the invoice to another sheet which lists all invoices and details from the invoice generated.

If one doesn’t exist I will attempt to design one - just want to save a bit of time as I dont know how to write a macro which would "file" an invoice to a archive sheet. By this I mean the invoice will get printed, details stored on the archieve sheet and then the templated cleared

    Hi,

I have an excel template for the invoice.

What I would like to do is once the invoice has been completed and a macro run which will enable the details to be stored on the "Datebase sheet"

    I have found this code:

But it doesnt work - can anyone suggest what i need to adapt? At the moment it is only going to list two items (invoice number and customer number)

Sorry I cant help -Im a complete novice but I love the idea.
I am trying to create invoices (for goods and services provided, which cover several rows of data per invoice) which I then wish to retain in a database for Inland Revenue purposes for end of year and to see my invoice history... I will watch with interest how yours unfolds...

    Hi Toni

this can be done, I have done that also. Do you know how to amend the Email macro? Hit Alt F11 and then down the left hand side select the macro and it can be edited from there

    Re: Excel Invoicing

    Which version are you using.

By the .xls file extension, it would indicate 2003.

    Re: Excel Invoicing

    Toni,

The attached is a sheet I am doing for my daughter's, Photography business.

This is the original she downloaded, from where I don't know.

I have modified it to correct some incorrect calculations and other visual features particular to her business.

Each row is a line item entry.

The user enter a Quantity, Description and Unit Price.

The amount will be calculated for the user.

Note,.... the discount column is incorrect.

As i said I fixed a number of bugs in the version modification for my daughter.

There are auto calcs for the Invoice totals.

This is done in Excel 2007 as a .xlsm sheet.

If this is simular to what you need, post back and I will go into the details of the modifications I made.
