IF THEN statement and Tables

I am attempting to create a table in excel that will automatically fill out another table depending on the outcome. For example, if A3> 0, then A1, but if it is not, then check A4>0, then A4, etc. I've attempted it in this manner so far, but when I get past the first one I always seem to get repeating outcomes. For example, if A1=0 and A2=0 , then it will move to A3 but A1 and A2 will have the same result as A3.
