Staining cells only text without any dates in Sheet1 itself, but taking a date from the PC

    Hi all,
I have one for my very complex task imagine excel column A1: A10000:
    A1 to A10000 - have only text:
    A1 - something
    A2 - another thing
    and so on
Now with my colleagues argue the following tasks and problems - he said I had (but lost it) only formula (at least in his own words) which does the following: it was not there any dates in Sheet1 only text in cell A: What is the right way that if you take the date from the computer (I guess this is a "countdown") and if the company has promised to do its job until the end of the month eg 31/10/2012 - then three days ie 31/10/2012 29/10/2012 and its cells become yellow, and when the same closing date ie 31/10/2012 to understanding his lights (it) red?
Do you have any idea if this is possible?

    Hi K0st4din,

I guess you are referring to NOW() or Today() function in Excel which is further used in conditional formatting formulas. thanks.

    Hello dilipandey,
can truly "= NOW" or "= Today", but I can not understand how such writing this text I currently excel can count that just today as date 31.10.2012 and become red, I know that the formula had to put her in Conditional formating and how if three days before the required date will become yellow?
    Examples in the table.
Could a small example, if it is really possible to happen?

I know how to get 3 days before or after, but my colleague's claim is that the color is only on the text, which to me is crazy, but it may also be true excel is infinite in its possibilities.
    Please look at the tray.
