model answers please

Hi I am practicing for the City and Guilds ICT level 2 exam (its part of my nursery nurse qualification).

There are three "Sample Assessment Packs" on the City and Guild web site (http://www.cityandguilds.com/Courses...ions/level-2):

"Fun Fair":
http://cdn.cityandguilds.com/Product...nt_pack_v1.zip

"Library":
http://cdn.cityandguilds.com/Product...nt_pack_v1.zip

"Online Auction":
http://cdn.cityandguilds.com/Product...nt_pack_v1.zip

The trouble is there are no answers.

I have attempted each of these myself - each has two sections, the first is very easy and the second is a spreadsheet challenge.

What would be really helpful for me and I am sure lots of other people too would be for some Excel experts to show us how they would do the spreadsheets for section B.

Thanks for listening

Lenicka

Hi

I doubt anyone will do your work for you. However if you upload sample spreadsheets of what you have done so far you are more likley to get a response.

I agree with dogberry. members here will help all they can, but you should at least make an effort to start your work first
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Sorry for winding you people up the wrong way but here is the situation...

I do not have home work and do not, for that matter, have a teacher.

The only evidence I have of any kind of syllabus is these example exam papers.

...sounds pretty dumb ? Don't even get me started ! Just let me say I am not alone in this.

Ok but no sense complaining is there ? The attachments above are my attempts based on the two weeks I have been teaching myself using what I could find online. How hard can they be for an expert ? How long would an expert need ? Just asking.

Re: model answers please

Just had a quick look at the three excel files you uploaded.

File "Loan Books" looking at row 24 where due date is = return date so I'm surprised that this book is marked "Overdue"

If you change your formula from "=IF(I24<=K24,"Overdue","Ok") to "=IF(I24<K24,"Overdue","Ok") then a book brought back on due date would be marked as "Ok"

File monthly summary I would select range H4 to H22 and click "Format" -> "Cells" and then select "Percentage"

File suppliers I would select range H2 to I19 then click "Tools" -> "Options" Click on tab "View" down left find "Window Options" and uncheck "Formulas" to convert the formulas in range H2 to I19 to values.
