Formula to generate serial numbers needed

I need a formula that will generate a list of serial numbers when the first and last number number is entered into a cell.
Example:
first number is SERN012345 and last is SERN98765 will generate rows of numbers like SERN012345,SERN012346,SERN012347..etc.
I know I can drag and populate but we need the comma between each number.
If a custom cell format will do the same thing?

Just put the comma in front of SERN like ,SERN12345
then when you drag you get your consecutive numbers with comma between,
and you just have to delete the comma in the first cell.
