HELP!! HOW ?Protect sheet but enables auto refresh-PLEASE

Helo mentors,

I have these tables on my sheet that is working fine, in it has currency rates that is connected to the internet for updating every min. but when i protected the sheet. the currency tables had stoped refreshing(Updating).

please help..

while ur protecting there is option called hyper link and etc.. u can tick and check ..maybe ll be help on tht

Hi - The below code will refresh the sheet by unprotecting and then again protecting your file. However, it needs to be called each time you need to run it i.e. this wont refresh the page after each 60 seconds...

To use this code follow the below steps:

Press Alt + F11 while you are on the worksheet. You will see the VBA screen.
Double click on "This Workbook" which you see on the left hand side of your screen
Paste the above code on the right hand side
Press F5 to run the macro.

Please note as mentioned earlier, this macro will not make the sheet update the forex values dynamically. This will have to be called every time you want to refresh values.

if i use your code, my file would be exposed for editing.. thats what i dont want to happen. as of what you said.. protected and unprotected..and protect again..
