    Deleting lines with hidden column.

Is it OK to delete some lines while some columns are hidden?

You might have deleted the partial cell range by selecting Shift Cells Left / Shift Cells Up instead of Entire Row.

Not sure exactly what to make of this statement as we do not know your data or how you are deleting those rows.

When you say lines, are you speaking of the entire row or just a portion as Sixthsense points out?

How are you deleting? Are there any formulas within the data or is it just raw data?

If you have a sample showing the data getting mixed up, maybe you can post it and we can see what's going on.

Re: Deleting lines with hidden column.

I deleted the entire row by right clicking the line numbers.
my worksheet has several columns(A-P) with 1300 lines, I deleted some lines(rows) while some columns are hidden, I did not see any message to shift the cell up or down, left or right.
    Thanks.

I don't get a message when I delete the way you did either.

Not sure what to say without seeing a sample workbook. Maybe after trying what you try on your workbook the error can be spotted.

Do you have merged cells within your data?
