Inventory/ Demand solutions

    Hello,

I am involved in a school project on which we have taken an actual companies data, and we are trying to create a model that will automatically find out what quantity of units go to which plant based on the plants need through out one year. There are 232 storage units, that feed 5 plants, we want the model to automatically tell us what units should go from what storage unit, to what plant.

It would be great if we can get your help.

have you made a start on what you want to do? im sure members here will gladly help you with problems you encounter, or offer suggestions, but most would be disinclined to create your work for you
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
    2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
    3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Main problem is I am just not sure how to get started. It would be great if anyone who has done a similar thing can give me some pointers on how to set up the problem.

I am in no way trying to have someone do the work for me, I want to learn how to do this kind of stuff.

most of us dont have a solid idea of how we are going to create something like this. as a start, i would suggest that you confine all your data to 1 sheet, and do all your analysis in a different sheet/s.

try and come up with some concepts of how you think your data will look, and how best to display the answers you waht. the formulas and functions can be created and added as you go along
