Show results in formula bar

this is probably some basic funstion of excel i havent come across yet but is it possible to have the formula bar showing the results of the formula not the formula?
somtimes i have a formula returning a string of text and it would be good to be able to see it in formula bar rather than resize the cell as the formula bar is very easy to rresize
i know you have the option in cells to show formula or show results but i was hoping to see the same thing in the formula bar
it would be even better if the formula bar could be split with half of it showing the formula and half showing the formula result for the active cell
