    Custom Excel Date

    Hello All

I am new to Excel and have the following question.

I would like to extend the following field by increments of 7.

    E.g.

    Mon-Fri (19/08-23/08)
    Mon-Fri (26/08-30/08)
    Mon-Fri (02/09-06/09)

How do I go about doing this?

    Kind Regards

    Darran

In A1 write any date you want to start with (i.e. 20.08.2012 (don't need to be monday)) and use this in A2 and pull formula down:

    Re: Custom Excel Date

With the first one in A2, you can put this formula in A3:

    ="Mon-Fri ("&TEXT(VALUE(MID(A2,10,5)&"/2012")+7,"dd/mm")&"-"&TEXT(VALUE(MID(A2,10,5)&"/2012")+11,"dd/mm")&")"

    then copy it down.

Note: this will only work up to the end of December, as the year 2012 is hard-coded into the formula. If you want it to go beyond that, you should change that in January.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
